Overview
We partnered with CourseLoop to enhance their Curriculum Data Management (CDM) module, the core of their platform. Our goal was to address user feedback, modernise the user interface, and create a consistent, accessible design system.
Through a comprehensive UX refresh, we delivered a more intuitive and user-friendly experience, setting the foundation for future product innovations and ensuring CourseLoop’s platform meets the evolving needs of universities worldwide.
Our approach began with a deep dive into the existing user experience, identifying pain points and areas for improvement. We collaborated closely with CourseLoop to design solutions that were both impactful and feasible.
Outcomes
Stakeholder insights
We conducted in-depth interviews with key stakeholders to identify pain points and define the vision for the Self Service Hub, ensuring it would meet the needs of its users.
Defining the product vision
Collaborating with CourseLoop’s leadership, we clarified the long-term goals for the Self Service Hub, aligning our design strategy with their vision for the product.
Understanding constraints
We engaged with CourseLoop’s engineering team early on to understand the technical limitations and opportunities, ensuring our designs were both innovative and feasible.
Understanding the onboarding process
We interviewed the implementation team to gain insights into the current onboarding process, workshop activities, and existing pain points, aiming to optimise the experience through the Self Service Hub.
Prototyping solutions
We developed a clear and logical information architecture, followed by detailed wireframes to create a strong foundation for the Self Service Hub’s design and functionality.
Structuring the hub
We created a well-organised information architecture, allowing users to navigate and configure their environments with ease, reducing complexity and confusion.
Wireframing core functionality
Detailed wireframes were crafted to visualise the structure and flow of Self Service Hub, ensuring key functionalities were effectively represented and easy to use.
Aligning design and strategy
By aligning wireframes with CourseLoop’s product strategy, we ensured that the foundational design would support both immediate needs and future expansions.
Prototyping and testing
We built interactive prototypes, conducted user testing to validate our designs, and expanded the hub’s capabilities to support CourseLoop’s long-term vision.
Creating interactive prototypes
We developed prototypes that brought our wireframes to life, allowing users to interact with the design and providing a platform for real-world testing.
Validating through user testing
User testing helped us validate design decisions, ensuring that the hub was intuitive, effective, and met user needs before full-scale development.
Expanding long-term capabilities
We rounded out design by incorporating features that aligned with CourseLoop’s long-term vision, setting the stage for future growth.
